Cosmetics and other beauty merchandises infused with CBD are now making their way to be the trendiest products of significant beauty companies.

CBD or Cannabidiol is a non-psychoactive compound usually found in marijuana and hemp.

Piper Jaffray analysts say that the world will see further advancement in this beauty industry. It is expected to boost in the market with more than $50 billion worth.

CBD-infused beauty products have seen growth in various large beauty companies such as Neiman Marcus, Barneys and, of course, Sephora.

According to the Sr. Research Analyst of Piper Jaffray, Erinn Murphy, retailers will have distinctive interest in cannabis beauty. In the next months, they also anticipate beauty retailers’ developments. He added, “This week at Sephora, we noticed a curated section in-store for hemp-oriented products featuring brands that have dipped their toe into this space.”

Sooner or later companies like Ulta Beauty, E.L.F. Beauty, and Estee Lauder will likewise have the same kind of line.

Before, beauty products with CBD were seen as a sub-category of the organic beauty market. As cannabis is legalized around the world, the stigma of these products is fading away. CBD skincare is becoming normalized. 

Murphy stated, “Recall that we view the CBD beauty market as an extension of the broader natural & clean beauty movement that is taking hold within the industry.” Similarly, in the google search trend, it says that in the past year many consumers gained interest in cannabis beauty products.

The analyst recorded that there are also department stores who are joining the trend alongside Sephora.

It was last week when Barneys confirmed that in March they would be launching CBD-infused beauty products and luxury-cannabis accessories at the Beverly Hills, California.

Also, Neiman Marcus discussed that they would have beauty products that are CBD-infused posted online and marketed in five physical stores.

Murphy also said that there are still reputable cosmetics brands using hemp-seed oil-based beauty products rather than the CBD-infused ones. Moreover, they expected multinational brands to join the movement in producing CBD-infused products soon because of clear rule and efficiency.

Indeed, cannabis beauty and other CBD-infused beauty products are in the trend. Wall Street declared this kind of products a stand-alone category.

Even celebrities are jumping on the CBD skincare boat. In the Oscars 2019 gift bags, nominees they will receive therapy, THC and CBD.
