Harvest One Will Supply Medical Cannabis to Shoppers Drug Mart

On March 18, Harvest One Cannabis Inc. settled an agreement with Shoppers Drug Mart through United Greeneries Ltd., its cultivation and subsidiary arm. The deal grants Harvest One to supply the retail pharmacy chain for its online website with medicinal cannabis products.

Last year, cannabis was legalized in Canada, but regulations are still restricted regarding the sale and distribution of medical marijuana in pharmacies.

Harvest One will provide Shoppers Drug Mart with their premium and indoor cultivated cannabis under the health and wellness brand, Satipharm.

According to Grant Froese, CEO of Harvest One, the supply agreement is a step further towards fulfilling their vision to become a vertically integrated cannabis brand in the sector of wellness, health, and self-care. This will be the first time that Satipharm branded cannabis will be accessible for purchase by the public in Canada.

The global cannabis company rose up to 17.4 % (US$ 0.70) on the OTC Markets. It climbed up in Canada to nearly C$15.1%.

United Greeneries has two primary facilities – the Lucky Lake Facility found in Saskatchewan and the Duncan Facility located in Vancouver Island, British Columbia.

The Duncan Facility cultivates on a 10,000 square feet area. They are licensed by Health Canada to grow and distribute medical cannabis, with an in-house analytical and biochemical laboratory. According to the company’s website, the Duncan Facility can yield 1,000kg of marijuana per year.

According to the company, Shoppers Drug Mart can help consumers create well-informed decisions. All the products of Satipharm will be color-coded to identify and monitor their progress on the chart from the SatiWhite’s high THC to SatiPurple’s high CBD.

The cannabis plants have two primary types – Sativa and Indica. Each strain differs from one another based on its own characteristic spectrum of effects on the mind and body, thus producing a broad range of medical benefits. Generally, the Sativa strains provide an added energizing experience, while Indica strains tend to create a sense of deep relaxation of the body.

United Greeneries will be responsible for producing and shipping a SatiSilver Indica variety and a Sati Green hybrid variety.

The cannabis company is also planning to release cannabidiol (CBD) formula of Dream Water, an all-natural sleep aid that can be purchased across 30,000 stores across Canada and the US. Dream Water is comprised of active ingredients that help people who have trouble falling asleep.

Harvest One acts as the umbrella company over three subsidiaries, namely the licensed producer United Greeneries, cannabis health products developer Satipharm, and manufacturer of sleep aid Dream Water.
